During the buffet lunch, special tables have been organised in which several experts from our industrial member companies have shared their experience about R&D industrial careers with PhD students and post-docs.
The first two IRT PhD students, Cédric Abadie (IRT Saint Exupéry/Laplace) on April for the More Electrical Aircraft Domain and Jonathan Bonnet (IRT Saint Exupéry/IRIT) for the Embedded Systems Domain on June, have successfully defended their thesis. Both have now a permanent position. The next 14 PhD students are in their final steps and will defend their thesis within the next 6 months, in due time. New PhD students are expected to join IRT in the fall 2017 within the new generation of projects, maintaining the total number of PhD students at the level of around 40.
