Since the association of IRTs was created: The French Institutes of Technology (FIT), scientific cooperation are going on between IRTs.

First iconic project deals with Additive Manufacturing where a 64 million euros program is to be launched within the end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017.

4 IRTs: IRT Jules Verne, IRT M2P, IRT Saint Exupéry & IRT SystemX, come together to investigate the whole R&T spectrum on Additive Manufacturing to prepare the various fields of application for a major industrial revolution with:

• A common roadmap on technology axis and platforms,
• An operational coordination of proposals and projects,
• A capitalisation with shared tools and database.

7 projects have already been launched in 2016 with more than 60 members.
